Please read before making a booking.

These terms and conditions must be read before making a booking with “Trail & Trek Tenerife”

Registered Company Activo Turismo No. 40045013830. Trail & Trek Tenerife is “we” “our” “us” “The company “Léan Marie Rive, Calle Santo Domingo 27, Vilaflor de Chasna, 38613, Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

When making a booking with Trail & Trek Tenerife “you” “your” commencing in a contract in which “our” respective rights and obligations are written within our terms and conditions. “You” “your” is the 1st named person on the booking form and includes all the persons on whose behalf a booking is made including persons transferred and added.

Booking and payment

  • All bookings must be made via our website, email, or in person.

  • When making a booking a non-refundable deposit of at least 20% is required.

  • If you are making a booking 8 weeks or less before your departure, then full payment is required at the time of booking.

  • Full payment is required 8 weeks prior to activity booked.

  • You will receive an email to confirm your deposit and further details subject to availability.

  • Prices are listed in Euros and include IGIC (local Tax) unless otherwise stated.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • If we cancel due to weather or safety, a full refund or alternative will be offered.

  • No refunds for no- shows or cancellations within 4 weeks of activity booked.

  • In the event in an amendment please email in advance and we will make every effort to assist you within reason.

Participation Requirements

  • All participants must complete a PAR-Q (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire) and sign a waiver before joining any activity.

  • Participants must be in good physical health, please consult a doctor if in doubt.

  • Minimum age is 18 years.

  • Participants but wear the appropriate clothing and footwear and be responsible for their sun protection.  

Risk and Liability

  • Trail running and hiking involve inherent risks including but not limited to, injury, dehydration, and sudden weather changes.

  • We are not liable for injuries, loss of personal belongings, or delays due to force majeure.

  • By participating, you accept these risks.

Insurance

  • We recommend participants have personal travel or health insurance that covers outdoor sports and claiming money in the event of cancellation.

  • Our company is covered by civil liability and accident insurance in accordance with Spanish law and tourism regulations.

Code of Conduct

  • Respect nature, wildlife, and local communities.

  • Always follow the guides instructions.

  • Littering, smoking on trails, or damaging flora/fauna is strictly prohibited.

Changes to Itinerary

  • We reserve the right to change routes or itineraries due to weather, trail conditions, or participant safety.

  • Alternative activities or locations may be offered if required.

Photos and Media

  • We take photos or videos during activities for promotional purposes.

  • If you prefer not to be included, please inform us before the activity begins.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with a service or facility provided in connection with your arrangements, you should address your complaint immediately to The Company’s local representative and, if relevant, to the management of the hotel or other supplier whose services are involved, so that The Company will have an opportunity to correct the matter. If the problem cannot be solved , you must write to us within 28 days of your return giving your booking information and full details of your complaint. If you fail to follow this simple procedure we will have been deprived of the opportunity to investigate and rectify your complaint promptly and this may affect your rights under this contract. These Booking Terms & Conditions and any agreement to which they apply are governed in all respects by Spanish law. We both agree that any dispute, claim or other matter which arises between us out of or in connection with your contract or booking will be dealt with by the Courts which lie within Spain.

Privacy Policy

The process of booking your activity requires that we use the personal data you provide such as your name and address. In addition, we may need some sensitive personal data such as special needs or dietary preferences etc. This information is passed on to the hotels and any other suppliers of your travel arrangements on a ‘need to know’ basis. If we cannot pass this information to the relevant suppliers, we cannot accept your booking. In making a booking, you consent to this information being passed on to the relevant persons. The information may also be provided to public authorities, as required by law.  We will however not pass your information on to any person not responsible for part of your travel arrangements unless required to do so by law.
